About

Ledger correctness shouldn't be every team's in-house project.

Behind every wallet, processor, and settlement system is a ledger — almost always a general-purpose database plus a pile of application code. Idempotency, holds, reversals, rejections, ordering, recovery, and audit get re-implemented and re-verified by every team, and the edge cases only show up under a retry, a failover, or a crash — which is to say, in production.

TulaDB exists to make that layer a product: a dedicated financial-state engine with an explicit contract, so the part of your platform that can't afford to be improvised isn't.

How we work

Three principles, applied everywhere.

Fail closed

When safety and convenience conflict, the system stops loudly rather than continuing wrong — from config parsing to quorum decisions to the installer itself.

Evidence over adjectives

Guarantees come with the tests behind them — fault injection, model replay, chaos campaigns with exact balance validation — and with the coverage limits stated just as plainly.

Say only what we can show

Documentation is written against the current code, measurements are date-stamped with their hardware attached, and preview status is stated on every surface. Conservative claims age better.

Team

Who's building it.

TulaDB is built by a small, senior team working close to the engine. The engine, the SDKs, the correctness testing, and the documentation come from the same hands — which is why the docs match the code.

Shubham Srivastava

Founder

A payments and distributed-systems architect with more than 13 years designing and building financial and transactional systems. His background spans real-time payments, clearing and settlement, liquidity, ISO 20022, transactional data architecture, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and highly available data platforms.

He founded TulaDB to build a purpose-built ledger database for systems that move and account for value — with correctness, durability, deterministic processing, idempotency, replication, and auditability designed into the data layer.

The company

Built by TulaDB Inc.

TulaDB is developed by TulaDB Inc. The product is in private preview: evaluate it against your workload, and — if balances are a platform guarantee for your product — talk to us about a design partnership.

The name comes from tulā — the balance scale. Every debit reconciled against its credit.

Product
A ledger-first database engine, SDKs, a REST gateway, an operations dashboard, and an analytics exporter — one product surface.
Status
Private preview. Suitable for evaluation, architecture review, and controlled pilots; production use requires deployment-specific validation.
